I've finally managed to win the battle of the image transfer, however, I'm still not thrilled with it. I think I had greater expectations than what I got from it. I was looking for something crystal clear around the image, however, after several attemps and seeing others work, I realized that it's just not likely to happen. Unless someone out there has a magic solution that is, if you do PLEASE tell me what it is!!! I love the colors I have in this canvas and I like most elements of it, but I just cannot get past how dark the bird is, or maybe it's that the paint around the bird is too dark?? The 3 up in the corner isn't cemented in cause I'm still not sure I want it there, but w/ nothing there it looks kinda empty. Just not sure the 3 is what it needs. Anyways, because I thrive on inspiration from others, please let me know any suggestions or comments you may have.

It's wonderful!! Love the composition, and the "3" up in the right corner. If you feel the bird is too dark, you could add more background reds on top of your transfer with perhaps oil pastels, or decoupage more red paper. Or you could add the warm toned highlights from your egg colors, and just put them right over the top of that ol' bird, where the light would hit him, or around a feature you want to highlight, such as his head or a wing. Or draw doodles on top of him. Just some ideas, and I LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE...HE DOESN'T NEED a THING. Have fun!!!
A fantastic creation Lisa. Good for you sticking with the image transfer battle...I seem to be constantly in retreat from it!
Well done Lisa, you have managed something that I strive to do...image transfers. I love the composition of this piece and the 3 gives it balance so WELL DONE YOU and be proud of your work cos it is fab
