I've started doing this fun bkgrd on alot of my 4x4's. I use coasters which are pretty absorbent, I either use a color wash spray or my distress inks and cover the bkgrd really well so that it's damp. Then I take a few colors of embossing powder and just sprinkle pinches of it here and there. Then I heat it and it not only heats the EP but it also dries the coaster.
