Sailor Boy 12x16 Canvas

After repeated tries to make this canvas turn into something, this is what has finally emerged. This is a transfer done from an image off a Divas D Este cd. I've been drawn to this little boy since I first saw him so I wanted to do something with him. I also had this cheesecloth here I wanted to play with and thought it had a "net" quality to it. Something ingenious, or at least I thought so anyways, was to color the cheesecloth, I submerged it into the water I was rinsing my paint brushes off in that I used for the background. It was the perfect color!! Then I just squeezed it out real well and it dried very quickly. The little flag emblems along the bottom, if you know how to "read" signal flags says "LOVE", but to anyone that doesn't they're just an added element. Anyhow, I'll be taking this one into the gallery and keep my fingers crossed that he likes it. I'm thinking that since I live in a Lake town that this might be something of interest to someone with a lake house.
