Bernie Berlin Strikes Again

A friend of mine has recently been going through Bernies Book and prompted me to get it back out when I was playing w/ transfer techniques. (which btw, are not going well LOL). This is a transfer technique from her book using ink jet copies and Gel Medium. Simply apply your Gel Medium to a piece of watercolor paper and lay your ink jet copy over it face down, then run your brayer across it. Takes some practice to figure out just how much Gel Medium to use and how much pressure on the brayer, but it works and gives a great vintage look to your piece. The beautiful little girl in this picture is actually one of my daughters from a vintage photo we had taken several years ago.

What a beautiful effect you have created with the transfer technique. Think I need to dig my book out and give some of the techniques a try!
